There are more than 15 things a consumer should consider prior to and
after making an informed acquisition of medical grade marijuana:

A Buying Guide for Medical Marijuana

Evaluation Issues Prior to Acquisition:

1.                Probably one of the most important issues for healthful usage: is there a presence of poison in the Medicine? (Pesticides have permeated most if not all of our food supply.  The purpose of these pesticides was to destroy the pests, molds and other diseases that ruin crops.  Unfortunately, while these pesticides do save the plants, they tend to be caustic to humans.  This is why we have developed tests to detect the presence of the most commonly used pesticides to ensure that you have the safest product available) (Paid for Testing)

2.                What will the potency be? ( you can only make ½ the decision here and only with Paid for Testing, the other half is after acquisition)

a.                THC? (Paid for Testing)

b.                CBD? (Paid for Testing)

c.                 CBN? (Paid for Testing)

3.                What will the effect be? ( you can only make ½ the decision here and only with Paid for Testing, the other half of the decision is only after acquisition and trial)

a.             Indica? (Indica buds will be dense with flavors and aromas ranging from strong and earthy to sweet and fruity. Often recommended as a night time smoke, Indicas provide very powerful effects.)

b.                Sativa? (Flavors range from mild and tangy to sweet and floral. Sativa’s higher THC than CBD equals cerebral, soaring effects that are often described as energetic.  Typically recommended for the day time, patients turn to sativa and sativa dominate hybrids to help remedy depression, appetite loss, and A.D.D. while still allowing the patient to have a clear and productive day.)

4.                What is the Look or Appearance of the Medicine?

a.                Is it Colorful?

                                                             i.      Dark or Light Color?

ii.      Was the Medicine Trimmed Properly

b.                Does it have Crystals?

c.                 How does the Medicine Feel to the Touch?

                                                             i.      Firm?

                                                           ii.      Full?

                                                        iii.      Tight?

                                                        iv.      Wet?

                                                          v.      Dry?

                                                        vi.      Sticky

5.                Does it have a smell you like? ( you can only make ½ the decision here the other half is after acquisition)

a.                   Ammonia Smell? In the 60’s we got most of our weed from Mexico. It was easy!  It would come to us in Kilos wrapped in Blue, Red and Green cellophane.  The providers in those days would press the whole plant into these Kilos. The weed would be “wet” so by the time we got it, it would have an ammonia smell.  We’d smoke that stuff anyways.  But now things have changed, we only use top shelf buds. So, if you smell Ammonia, run like hell to the nearest exit and never go to that provider again.

6.                What is the Strain or Name of the Medicine? (Paid for Testing)

7.                Are there Bugs in the Medicine? (Paid for Testing)

8.                Does the Medicine Have any Powdery Mildew? (you can look for thiswith your eyes but it is best to pay for testing)

9.                Was the Medicine Grown TOTALLY organically? (Paid for Testing)

10.           Were was the Medicine Grown?

a.                Indoors? (Paid for Testing)

b.                Outdoors? (Paid for Testing)

11.           What is the Price point and is it competitive

Evaluation Issues after Acquisition:

1.                Did it have a taste you prefered?

2.                Did it have a smell you liked? ( you can only make ½ the decision here the other half is prior to acquisition)

3.                What was the effect?

4.                What was the potency? (If you got the Paid for Testing results, then you know the answer without trying the Medicine, if you tried the Medicine, then you probably have your answer.)
